Shopping Trolley Refurbishment

Clothes, cars, decor, packages, everything that we encounter is colourful. Studies have shown that bright colour increases attraction and stimulates positive attention. We can give your old trolleys a new lease on life by refurbishing them - we will strip off old inferior coatings, remove rust and scale, then refinish with our durable, colourful Rilsan ® Nylon 11 coating; or - we can give your new trolleys a better more aesthetically pleasing look by coating in one of our range of Rilsan ® Nylon 11 colours. Coated with Rilsan ® Nylon II, your trolley will be quieter and last twice as long.

Derived from vegetal origin (castor oil), this product has be approved for food contact in many countries worldwide and conforms to all Australian and European food contact regulations.

By dipping the previously heated substrate into a fluidised bed of Rilsan ® powder, the wires and welds (corrosion prone spots) are encapsulated by a 300 to 500 um coating. This provides excellent protection against diverse atmospheric conditions, impact and abrasion resistance at temperatures between 40 degrees Celsius and +70 degrees Celsius - this coating can in-fact suffer many shocks without incurring damage.

The powder formulation includes anti-UV stabilisers, a very important feature as these trolleys often remain out of doors; colour stability is a critical point in the service life of trolleys. It has also been proven that Nylon 11 has excellent behaviour in a wide temperature range. The powder is applied by dipping, the pieces are coated in the desired colour - for example blue for the gate section and orange for the main part of the basket.

The fluidity in the molten state of Nylon 11 powders permits a perfect covering of the metallic pieces during dipping, even at the cross-over points of the structural wires (zones which are particularly vulnerable to rust in zinc-plated trolleys).
